Ronnie Roy

Ronnie Roy is a partner at RFZ Law LLP. His practice encompasses advising early-stage companies at every stage of their life cycle, from startup to sale.  Mr. Roy’s practice includes business formation, startup and growth-stage financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and serving as outside general counsel to his clients.  Mr. Roy’s clients span a wide range of industries, including digital/new media, e-commerce, mobile gaming/mobile applications, entertainment, hospitality, pharmaceutical, AI, high-tech, and telecommunications.

Mr. Roy has extensive experience representing clients in connection with financing and related securities matters. He regularly advises clients on venture-backed financing rounds from Seed to Series C and beyond.

Mr. Roy has substantial expertise in mergers and acquisition transactions, representing both acquirers and targets in a variety of complex transactions, including deals involving earnouts, deferred compensation, rollover equity and other contingent consideration.

Mr. Roy began his practice as a corporate associate at Irell & Manella LLP and later became a partner at a boutique transactional firm in Los Angeles.  In addition to his practice, Mr. Roy has been on the Board of Directors of Para Los Niños since 2013 and currently serves as its Board Secretary.  Para Los Niños is a leading organization in the education of underserved communities in Los Angeles with a charter elementary school, charter middle school, several early education centers and wraparound social services.
